Essex officers reunite stolen puppies with owners
TWO stolen Terrier puppies have been returned to their rightful owners by two Uttlesford police officers.
PC Joe Whitehead and his unnamed colleague arrested a 52-year-old woman on suspicion of burglary, before taking the abducted puppies back to the station to wait for their owners to collect them.
Joe and his colleague were met by extremely grateful owners, who thanked the pair profusely for finding their beloved pets and looking after them.
In light of the situation, PC Whitehead said: “Burglary can have a big impact on victims and being in a position to apprehend the suspect and return these stolen puppies was a very rewarding experience.
“The puppies did not seem distressed and we had great fun keeping them entertained until their worried owners were able to collect them.”
The woman arrested in connection with the burglary was later released under investigation whilst further enquiries into the matter are made.
