We need to be properly resourced.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steve Taylor, Chairman of Essex Police Federation, reacts to HMIC report \u201cNoticeable differences between police and the service they provide\u201d which has led to headlines this morning such as \u201cFailing police &#8216;rumbled&#8217; by weary public\u201d and \u201cCrimes not reported&#8217; as public lose confidence in police\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Steve said: \u201cI have to ask where this report has come from. The Police Federation have consistently warned that Cuts Have Consequences in a campaign started by Essex Police Federation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe blame for any poor police service lies squarely at the Government\u2019s door. It is not the fault of my hard working colleagues<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe were cut by 21,000+ police officers and yet those police officers who remain are being asked to do more and more. We need to be properly resourced.
