POLICE officers have shown courage and commitment against a backdrop of more pressure, the Chairman of Essex Police Federation said looking back on 2015.<\/p>\n
In a Christmas and New Year message to members, Mark Smith hopes that all officers have a chance to spend some festive time with their families who make sacrifices \u201cso that we can do our jobs\u201d.<\/p>\n
See the full message here<\/a>\/below<\/p>\n \u201cThe advent season is upon us and as 2015 draws to a close I would like to wish all our members a very happy and safe Christmas.<\/p>\n \u201cPolice officers across the county have worked exceedingly hard, with courage and commitment, against a backdrop of more pressure, fewer resources and more cuts. I hope you do get to spend some time with your families and loved ones over the Christmas period, we must never forget what support they give and what sacrifices they make so that we can do our jobs.<\/p>\n \u201cMy thoughts are also with those of you that are unable to spend Christmas with your families and loved ones as you work hard to keep our communities safe.<\/p>\n \u201cYour Federation understands how hard you work and how much you give up to be a police officer.
