CHAIRMAN Steve Taylor has labelled the 2017 police officer pay rise “disgusting and cheap.”<\/p>\n
The Government has given police officers a 1% pay rise in 2017. \u00a0There will be a 1% one-off bonus on top of this.<\/p>\n
The Police Pay Review Body had recommended a consolidated 2% pay rise for all officers in 2017.\u00a0<\/p>\n
“The Government aren’t prepared to put the money upfront so may as well be 20% pay rise as they’re not honouring it.<\/p>\n
“It’s not fair on officers and not fair on the public who will foot the bill. It’s being handed onto to Essex Police who are lean as it is and don’t have the money.<\/p>\n
