THE online consultation for the Police Federation Independent Review has been extended until Friday 20 September.<\/p>\n
The consultation \u2013 which has had more than 200 responses \u2013 had been scheduled to conclude on Wednesday 31 July.<\/p>\n
You can have your say here\u00a0http:\/\/www.thersa.org\/action-research-centre\/community-and-public-services\/police-federation-independent-review\/consultation<\/a><\/p>\n The Independent Review of the Police Federation has so far spoken to:<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 All three Rank Central Committee principal officers and Women\u2019s Reserved seat representatives.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 National meetings of rank branch board principal officers \u2013 Constables, Sergeants and Inspectors.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Staff in the national HQ.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 A number of external witnesses throughout the policing world.<\/p>\n \u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 More than 200 responses to the online consultation.<\/p>\n Sir David Normington, Chairman of the Independent Review Panel, said: \u201cWe\u2019ve extended the online consultation as we are getting a very good response and want to give every opportunity for others to get their thoughts to us. Anyone can respond and we are reading and analysing each and every response.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cAll the panel members are looking forward to the regional consultation days. We are very confident the consultation programme we have in place is robust and will generate the range of evidence we need to get an accurate picture alongside other aspects of the consultation.<\/p>\n \u201cWhile many who want to come along will have work and other commitments, we can reassure everyone that the online consultation is also a very important way of engaging with the Review.
