A NEW video tutorial aimed at providing\u00a0Post Incident Procedure\u00a0 (PIP) guidance has been launched by Essex Police Federation.<\/p>\n
The new guide will be shown at officer safety training and as part of the suite of training materials for student officers.<\/p>\n
Officers undergoing refresher training or those taking more specialist training such as pursuit driving, firearms and custody will also have access to the new video to help them deal with deaths following police operations.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe video will address a lack of knowledge in Post Incident Procedure\u00a0,\u201d said Federation Chair Steve Taylor.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s an important piece of work to help officers protect themselves if a\u00a0Post Incident Procedure\u00a0 is instigated, and it\u2019s a real step in the right direction.\u201d<\/p>\n
