IT\u2019S time for Essex Police officers to have their say on pay and morale.<\/p>\n
And Essex Police Federation Chairman Steve Taylor is calling on members to make sure their voice is heard by filling in the PFEW survey.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen we try and achieve change then we need data from members to support it,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
\u201cTaking the time to complete surveys like this one gives people like me the evidence, the facts that we need to take to the organisation, so we can demonstrate this is what officers are thinking.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt takes away the ability for them to say, \u2018we think it\u2019s just your view or opinion.\u2019<\/p>\n
Steve added that the PFEW survey is unique in giving decision makers an idea of the national police psyche.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s really important and police bodies including the College of Policing are referencing the results of the survey \u2013 the more of us that take the time to complete it the better.\u201d<\/p>\n
