AN off-duty Essex officer has saved a man\u2019s life.<\/p>\n
PC Ian Risden was made aware of a man who had taken a suspected overdose in Southend and he managed to get access to the house where he found the man unresponsive.<\/p>\n
Realising the man\u2019s life was at risk, PC Risden rang the ambulance and commenced CPR.<\/p>\n
Since the incident the man has made a full recovery and got in touch with the hero PC to thank him for his swift actions.<\/p>\n
Pc Risden from Castle Point and Rochford Community Policing Team said: \u201cEveryone thinks that we only deal with crime.<\/p>\n
\u201cEven though I was off duty, this is just one example of the things we deal with on a daily basis.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m just glad he\u2019s okay and can get the medical help he needs.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
