TWO Essex police officers have been contributing Christmas presents to Thurrock Council\u2019s Give a Gift project for children in need.<\/p>\n
PC Christopher Burtenshaw and PC Nicole Plom, who are both new recruits at Grays police station, donated the gifts whilst performing their probationary patrols at the Lakeside shopping centre.<\/p>\n
PC Plom said: \u201cI live in Thurrock and it\u2019s really nice to give back to children that are less fortunate this Christmas.\u201d<\/p>\n
The pair discovered Thurrock Council\u2019s Christmas tree, decorated with silver stars, with each star representing a child in need.<\/p>\n
Members of the public can donate gifts for different age groups, which give children a present to open on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
